Costa Rican company Internexo joined EARTH University (Costa Rica) and the University of Illinois (United States) to teach how to apply social networking and Web 2.0 in sustainable development projects.
The workshop was held at EARTH University in Guápiles, Costa Rica, from July 29 to July 30. The main goal was to provide basic guidance on Web 2.0 and its potential uses for collaboration.
Secondly, the speakers sought to initiate a participatory research on the development and improvement of a website.
The CEO and co-founder of Internexo, Paul Fervoy, provided a fairly detailed general knowledge about Web 2.0, technologies and its applications in the life of organizations and professionals. This presentation is available online HERE.
Other instructors who participated in this workshop include Professor Michelle Shumate from the Communication Department of the University of Illinois and Eleonora Badilla, Director of Academic Assessment Center at the University of Costa Rica.
