CostaRicaisIT.net (from now on referred to as the site or portal) is a portal that allows the user or guest access, or in some cases, to include information in the Information and Communication Technologies Sector in Costa Rica. This portal is property of the Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies of Costa Rica (CAMTIC, for its Spanish acronym). All intellectual property rights related to this portal is subject to current and valid legislation of the Republic of Costa Rica.
The use of this site and its contents are governed by the present Conditions of Use. When using this site, it is based on the assumption that you have thoroughly read these conditions and knowingly accept them. You also accept the fact that these conditions can be revised and changed by CAMTIC, who will notify any changes made to these conditions by issuing a new version with its corresponding revision date. It is the responsibility of the user and guest to periodically revise the Conditions of Use.
1. The content of this portal is solely for informational use only. Therefore any information displayed in this portal does not represent any type of advice, nor should it be used as material for any type of financial, associative, tax or investment decision-making. Any decision made in regards to this is sole responsibility of the user. CAMTIC will not assume any type of civil, commercial, penal, administrative, tax, economic, labor or copyright responsibility of any use made with the contents of CostaRicaisIT.net by site users.

CAMTIC has verified the existence of the registered companies in this site when registering onto the site, but is not responsible for the content that each company includes in its profile; therefore it will be the responsibility of the corresponding company to prove the authenticity and validity of the information contained via this portal. In some cases and specifically those referring to the information relative to business intelligence, CAMTIC has proven the authenticity of the information registered, but the responsibility for the content will only correspond to the authors of the document registered on the webpage. Based on this, CAMTIC, its administrators or collaborators will not be in any way responsible for any losses or damages incurred to third parties caused by an inadvertent error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, function or transmission delay, computer virus, online communication failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access, alteration of, or the use of information contained in this site. There is no guarantee of any sort concerning the products or contents or accuracy, adequacy, reliability, integrity, convenience or pertinence of the information provided for such regarding a particular situation.

CAMTIC its administrator or collaborators cannot issue judgment or assurance regarding the authenticity or accuracy of the content or information provided by other services or sites that are linked or referred to in this site. A link to another service or site does not represent, on behalf of CAMTIC, any sort of endorsement of the products or services or sites.
4. All text, graphs, audio, design and other work established in the site, are intellectual property of CAMTIC, unless otherwise indicated.

The content on this site is exclusively for personal use and must be left intact, such as it is displayed, and any alteration will be considered as a violation of intellectual property rights (brands, copyrights, patent) of CAMTIC or its duly protected third parties. It is strictly prohibited to copy, reproduce, publish, re-publish, load or download, broadcast or distribute the information contained in this site. Unless duly authorized by CAMTIC.
6. CAMTIC rejects and waives any responsibility and obligation of any damage incurred by the download and misuse of the information contained in this site.
7. CAMTIC reserves the right to modify, suspend/cancel, discontinue, delete or release any or all sections or services contained in this site, without previous notice.
8. CAMTIC reserves the right to perform modifications and alterations on the information contained in this site without previous notice.
9. CAMTIC's reference in some of the profiles is a right that only active CAMTIC members possess, therefore CAMTIC reserves the right to suspend or eliminate the logo or any such reference to CAMTIC from those cases that are not authorized to use such.
10. CostaRicaisIT.net members have the right to register their profile on this site and, in return, will have the right to use a username and password. It is understood that this information will be subject to the rules of these Conditions of Use and the supervision of CAMTIC. Username and password will only be issued to Information and Communication Technology businesses that duly registered and constituted in Costa Rica.
11. CAMTIC reserves the right to discontinue the username and password caused by nonpayment of site registration or by violation of the established "Code of Ethics".
12. CAMTIC reserves the right to modify the Conditions of Use of any service without obligation of any sort. CAMTIC reserves the right to take the necessary measures to prevent access to any service, or declare the termination of service if these Conditions of Use are not respected or complied with, or by disrespect to the intellectual property rights derived from the contents or structure of the site.
13. Any legal procedures will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Republic of Costa Rica and in conformance with current and valid laws of Costa Rica.
14. CAMTIC can periodically revise or modify the present Conditions of Use.

For the Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies (CAMTIC, for its Spanish acronym), privacy is of utmost importance; especially online privacy. Therefore, CAMTIC is committed to safeguarding all the information furnished by its members and other guests that initiate a session with the CostaRicaisIT.net website (from now on referred to as the site or portal). CAMTIC, as the representative entity for the Information and Communication Technology sector, is concerned about providing a safe environment in electronic transactions.
Below are the privacy policies established by CAMTIC; furthermore CAMTIC informs that CostaRicaisIT.net has links to other sites, which also possess their own privacy policies. Therefore CAMTIC is not responsible for the security of such sites and it is up to the user, based on their own criteria and under their own risk, to visit such sites.
When users, by use of their name or of a company, supply information regarding him or herself or of a company, do so based on the understanding of acceptance of these privacy policies. Personal information
Any user registered on this site, in order to make use of the particular services, must furnish personal or corporate information. This information will then pass on to be property of CAMTIC, which will make exclusive use of such information. It is important to indicate that it is not necessary to register to the site, for those guests that do not wish to receive a particular service.
Services that require registration include the following, as applicable:
o Event participation
o Access to the Business Intelligence section
o To register and establish a profile
o Join our mailing list
o Receive newsletters and activity information
o Send or receive contact information or business opportunities
CAMTIC will not sell or lease any information supplied confidentially by users. It is based on the assumption that the information furnished by the user is done so voluntarily and can be used for the following:
Data registration: if you are only a site guest, CAMTIC will not collect your personal information.
Other optional information: if you wish to subscribe to CAMTIC publications or CostaRicaisIT.net, you must complete the forms with your personal or company information.
Email information received through the site: when an email is received referencing the site, CAMTIC will keep any email message, as well as email addresses.
Security
Access to your online personal account is done so with your password. This password will not be revealed to any person. If you forget your password, an automatic system will generate a new password and send it via email, to the email address that you supplied when registering.
CAMTIC has made an effort to follow the strictest standards in order to protect the site from intruders, misuse, loss of information, alteration or destruction.
CAMTIC is not responsible for any damages caused to the information in your account, as consequence of any misuse of your password.
