Therefore, CAMTIC is committed to safeguarding all the information furnished by its members and other guests that initiate a session with the CostaRicaisIT.net website (from now on referred to as the site or portal). CAMTIC, as the representative entity for the Information and Communication Technology sector, is concerned about providing a safe environment in electronic transactions.
Below are the privacy policies established by CAMTIC; furthermore CAMTIC informs that CostaRicaisIT.net has links to other sites, which also possess their own privacy policies. Therefore CAMTIC is not responsible for the security of such sites and it is up to the user, based on their own criteria and under their own risk, to visit such sites.

This means that each user authorizes CAMTIC and credit card payment processing company to charge the specified amount to the card provided. In addition, the user authorizes CAMTIC and the credit card company to save the user’s credit card number and other information relating to payments as a transaction proof.
Personal data, credit card number and expiration date information corresponding to annual CostaRicaisIT.net membership payments and sponsorships, registration in business meetings, training events and other related activities will be used only to process services requested by the user.
Security
Access to your online personal account is done so with your password. This password will not be revealed to any person.
If you forget your password, an automatic system will generate a new password and send it via email, to the email address that you supplied when registering.

This website also allows you to make payments such as CostaRicaisIT.net annual membership, annual sponsorship, registration and payment for business meetings, trade fairs, training activities (seminars, conferences, workshops and consulting programs, etc.) and other related activities.

Username and password will only be issued to Information and Communication Technology businesses that duly registered and constituted in Costa Rica.
11. Starting August 1, 2009, IT companies registered in CostaRicaisIT.net as suppliers of products or services should pay an annual fee of US$100 per subscription to this website. Such payment should be made at the Bank of Costa Rica (http://www.bancobcr.com), through the bank account #001-253451-7 or by SINPE bank transfer to the client account 15201001025345174, with the legal identification number 3-002-227225 in the name of "Asociación Cámara de Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (CAMTIC)".
12. Users registered in CostaRicaisIT.net as buyers, business partners and / or investors do not have to pay any fee or costs for using this website.
13. CAMTIC reserves the right to discontinue the username and password caused by nonpayment of fees for site registration or by violation of the policies and terms of use that apply to this site.
14. CAMTIC reserves the right to modify the Terms of Use of any service without obligation of any sort. CAMTIC reserves the right to take the necessary measures to prevent access to any service, or declare the termination of service if these Terms of Use are not respected or complied with, or by disrespect to the intellectual property rights derived from the contents or structure of the site.
15. Any legal procedures will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Republic of Costa Rica and in conformance with current and valid laws of Costa Rica.
